Three hours till the first leg of Champions League semi-finals. I can feel the people cheering (the FANS) and jeering (Old Grandmama cursing at those nuisance outside their homes, disturbing their perfect peace and tranquil.. you have got to get used to things if you're staying so CLOSE to a stadium, mamm ..) at Old Trafford. I wish to be there to see how the home side get thrashed by the Italians. Being a genuine AC Milan fan in recent DAYS *Kaka inspired*, I would like to be by the TV's side to go HOORAH ~ for the precious away goals scored. LOL! Wilson .. Glory glory MU ! Sing it down the drain.. I honestly think that history will repeat itself. For the final leg in Athens; AC Milan vs Liverpool! Unfortunately, I'll be having a jam-packed schedule lying ahead tomorrow.
Got stuffs to pack!

*A silent prayer for AC Milan, make it 7-1.. * One goal as consolation.

I'll be away for at least a week. Don't try to contact me. Till then .. :)

Wenn.. the moody~ness, decompose it ! I'll be missing you. Sobs* Take good care of yourself.

Friends, friends .. stay good and healthy. Best of luck to those with exams ahead of them.

Fly.. Fly.. Up in the sky.. Up in the sky.. The sky is so high ! Haha.. Do you remember that? Childhood times, it was on TV. Goofy sang that when he flew his self-built wooden plane with the help of Donald's gunpowder.. i think**

Happy Birthday MUM!
**
I don't like being stranded at home. I don't wish to stay home, not at this moment.
My LEG wants me to be home. My LEG insists on that.

I'm sorry mum, can't go out to get you a gift. You deserve one SO much! You're the BESTEST Mum EVER! I'm PROUD to be your son!

*Happy Birthday to you*

*Happy Birthday to you*

*Happy Birthday to you .... Mum*

*Happy Birthday to you*

Make a wish. Blow the candles.

*Brrrinnng* went my phone. My caller id was flashing 'Tim Weng'.

"JL, you at home right now?"

"Yes."

"We're dropping by in five minutes time."

"Who's WE?"

"You see lah later."

*TuuuT* Call ended. More like THIRTY minutes later, they showed up. They got lost around my neighborhood I was told. Weng oh weng.. Well, how unexpected of Wei Yen to drive her NEW Kangoo. *Claps* I thought they knew about my injured leg (I feel touched) until I found out later their original plan was just to raid my house. Hahah! Smacks head* but thanks people! Last they of holidays konon.. so free lar you people.

Homes to Raid:
Manjuli
JL

I've got Raided!

Who's next? :P

AHHH~! The horror!

*First person's view*

This may seem like a simulation but NO! This is for real.. a flight of steps and I'm about to descend it. (DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME unless... you have two good pair of legs)

From a distant ..*What's the commotion?!!!* .. *Shudup!! I'm trying to watch TV*

So well, this seems to be just another ordinary staircase up to my bedroom but picture me trying to walk up and down with crutches. I take within 30 seconds to about a minute to get up and down compared to my usual 5 seconds sprint. :S Tough life I'm going through. BIG DEAL~!! Just yesterday after dinner when I successfully took a whole minute to climb up the stairs, mum called me down for fruits. Normally i don't take fruits but it's different then because I realized I left my book downstairs. So being the obedient Mum's son, I had to descend the steps to get fruits as well as my book. After few slices of oranges, I managed to climb back up the stairs with both crutches supporting my right arm while my left clinging tightly onto the railing beside. *Proud* Mum called me again, only this time it was dessert. (Fruits are desserts too I know but not to my family :P) Dessert = Ice-creams! xP I can NEVER turn down an offer when it's ice-cream you're talking about. Haha! So this poor handicapped young man had to once again face the trouble he had just overcome a minute ago. Got down and got back up! No regrets... It's ice-creams afterall, although it was really tough. Oh dear leg, please get well real soon.

Current mood: HOT! Fooh~ sweating like a cow..

The NBA season is reaching it's peak as the players gear for the post season. The race for the final playoff spot begins. When you have absolutely NIL things to do, you start to pay attention to the less important ones, one of is the NBA! Something that served greatly as my pastime. To those people who really want to know what do I do at home when you are managing exam stress out there, here is my daily schedule.

Monday: Nothing much.
Tuesday: Nothing much.
Wednesday: Some classes to attend to.
Thursday: Nothing much.
Friday: Sis comes back on this day.. Yay! Allowance :P NBA in the morning, futsal in the afternoon (sometimes), basketball at night. Unfortunately, there are times when you don't feel like playing. More like, CAN'T play! Fantasy League update.
Saturday: The EPL.
Sunday: Ping-pong. :s Urgh.. remind me not about sports.

All packed. No room for nothing else. Occasionally i do have dentist appointments, once every three weeks. (I look forward to see you there Weng, but I don't like the pain! ULCERS shoo~) Can wait no longer to remove my braces. Oh yeah, newspaper is a daily routine although I admit I'm still not really up to date on the world. Often I wonder if Osama bin Laden is already dead. But that can't be right, she's in Singapore and her birthday was just days ago. Happy Belated Birthday Grandma Binnie~!! I hope you wouldn't be too busy hiding from the US troops. You can ask me about today's Comic or what's the latest in the sporting world. Proud to be the ESPN Sportscenter lone part-time coworker. On rare occasions, I would shop with my friends, or sometimes alone if they are all busy. That's my week, every week!

Time flies really.. It feels like awhile ago it was New Year's eve, and I turned 19 (NOT .. old) with two great birthday surprises I owe alot to ALL my friends. The next thing I know, it's already the 14th of April. Four great months have passed. Very soon I will be off and we will all be parting. Keep in touch! Don't want to lose nobody while I'm there.

14th of April ~ Cousin Bro KEL VEEN's Birthday ! Happy Birthday big guy. *A punch delivered directly at his chest* OUch*

Current mood: OK. Share my tears of joy and a toast to your 19th Birthday, cousin! Not to mention, Ol'Grandma Binnie. *Blows horn*Balloons POP*

Physiotherapy. Yep, you got that right! My ankle injury is still not alright after a week of traditional Eastern medication and massage. Mum wasn't too happy with it too because not only did it NOT cure me, it caused more trouble .. Rashes! My skin swell up and now there are red patches all over it. Ewww.. Gross! It looks like a 'miku' now. (Miku = Chinese steam bun) Appointment was at 11 which means .. OMG~ NO NBA FRIDAY!(CLIppers at Lakers) :'(

Since Eastern did not work, it's Western now. Dr. William Chan's clinic. The last time I was here, I recalled cursing him after I left. :P find out why. When I got there, it was my turn already. "Hello again Doctor!" I said to him. He was his usual-self.. no change. An exact replica of Donald Duck! Haha.. Nawh. Check out Sunday Star to see his picture, where he normally writes an article about sports blah blah.. was it the "Fit for Life" section? He greeted me back and that was when I felt a little guilty. The last time I sprained my left ankle, I came to him too for physio. Well, I was supposed to go for physio for the next couple of days at the clinic but I sort of skipped all my appointments. Why? TOo costly.. RM 50 per session. :S .. I think he remembers me from his past records.. (He's going to get me! =B) Sure enough after I told him about my problem, he immediately ask me to lay on the bed as he started twisting my ankle around. OUCH* I told him to be gentle but he carried on with "HIS" ways... URgh! This guy is really going all out to get me. No choice, had to bare with the pain. Next was X-ray. Then it was ultrasound.. you know those they use to scan fetuses for their gender. He used that on my right foot and confirm with me that I have tore my Achilles tendon. Not the whole thing though, only partially. It takes about six weeks for it to fully recover. Dang ! No more sports! I'm on crutches now. I was told it'll help me recover faster as I won't be giving my right ankle any strain.

I have got to stop here. The blog's running dry. Besides, I have got an appointment to catch ... iSketch :P Mum paid and after we left, I ask her to show me the bill. Guess what? RM 400! OMG ~ There goes my Arsenal jersey. ;(

A deep appreciation is dedicated to Wenn, thank you!

Current mood: Leg's itchy, otherwise I'm plastered with a big wide smile.

... the choice of MORE than a million musicians

introducing *drum rolls*

Shubb CAPO !

What's that familiar looking thing? It looks like those "Apit-G" we used to use for our K.H. (Kemahiran Hidup .. =P) project. Ahh.. those were the days.. HOUR after HOUR, DAYS.. WEEKS, probably MONTHS. Those were how long we spent in the school's workshop from form 1, form 2 and form 3 total up.

No, no, no, beach party in there, we did not ..

Sun sand surf !

What we did was ..

.. Saw saw and more sawing .. breathing in saw dust every seconds! Great aye? ;) Of course! We practically did everything in there laughing, chatting, yekking, mostly procrastinating .. Oldays, back then we were HUGE procrastinators .. until the very last minute like a week before our wood work project was due. That's when we started panic-kinG .. in the same workshop too! :P So much better than a warm sandy beach, ask anyone of my clicks and they would tell you so.

"WHAT .. A WEEK TO GO???!!" .. everyone yelled at an instant. The gold-rush starts! No more old grandmother tales for everyone were busy pushing, smacking around painting, carving, looking high and low for tools but still the laughter would not stop. That's what I like about it. So eventually, at the very end, we MANAGEd everything in just a single week. The results..

A beauty ! :P .. It really is not too bad for a week's work. See the JL, its MINE! (Ignore the reflection. My project's on DISPLAY, sitting gracefully behind a glass. Image special thanks to: ZeonD) PROUD! :pfft..!! Now if you were to look back at those times, you would not just NOT laugh. =D

Back to the Apit-G look-alike,

It functions just like one *Apit-G*. Cost RM69. Don't look at me, I didn't really want to buy it. Who would pay so much for a piece of metal junk like that?! But Dad.. gave me the 'go-ahead', the 'nod', the 'green-lights' .. whatever you name it, it was a YES from dad. :P I conclude, he wanted it. winks* So anyways.. I told Mum about it and she was like "Long term investment". I was like .. OK! and fell silent. For its function, yeah, exactly like an Apit-G except not on wood but rather strings.

Says Wikipedia (ehem! As what every professor or lecturer would say "Citations" otherwise it would be "Plagiarism") --> "Capos are used to change the key and pitch of a guitar sound without having to adjust the strings with the tuning keys. It should be noted that the capo is placed as close to the fret as possible." There you go. Now that all is explained, I can now peacefully begin turning my attention away from this bloody blog back to my guitar .. now with the Capo ! Ahaa.. Jamming down town all night long xP

... still a beginner

Current mood: Sleepy, NOT feeling cold.

Testing...

Extra! .. extra !! Read all about it ..

Saturday, April 07, 2007

Ahh.. What is this ?

Apparently this 'Tau Sar Pieh' is showing off it's middle finger.
(Mandarin? What mandarin?) :P

What can be worst ?

The date is April 7th, 2007. I'm glad the night before was over. Terrible night, terrible things happened and as a result, I can't walk today. Crawl? That's a MUCH better option. Hopeless handicapped I have become giving my 'fama' nothing but an extra burden.

I woke up feeling great as there was NBA on channel 81 Starsports: The Suns at the Spurs. The good thing is I REMEMBERED! I couldn't help NOT tuning to it because it's been weeks since I last watch a complete NBA match. Most of the other time, my lazy brain would keep me in deep slumber until about 11. ;P ... and I thought it would be a good match with two time MVP (Most Valuable Player) Nash, leading the Suns up against the home team, the Defensive minded Spurs. (The clash of two top titans) Well.. the game turned out to be dull as both teams were NOT in their usual form. Suns' lowest scoring game, at the half, of the season. Another hurdle for them as the Suns look to end their winning drought against the bogus team, where they had not won since 1993. They lost.

......

I was starving when the game ended. Still no sign of MUM which means, NO food. Just as I was about to give up waiting for Mum, the house phone rang! It was MUM ! ... wait, don't get too excited just yet.. mum called and said to " ... get Lunch by yourself." Sobs* =( Well well, so the independent one had to come up with a bloody good plan on where he would be lunching. :) winks* When I look at the cuckoo-clock hanging on the wall of my living room, it was slightly past 2 already. THose form six students should be done with school. So, I gave one of my good bud a call to see if he'd like to join me for lunch. A positive answer! When I called, he was having his lunch but said he would love to join me as he needed to buy something as a replacement for spoiling one of HIS many girls telephone chain (something like that, I wasn't sure) ;) A friend of mine once told me: "FOr a guy to go out with another guy, two guys ONLY, it looks really GAY". Again, I dialed another friend’s number.. who had just started his holidays, so we would not look 'tWo' gay. That makes three now. (Gays?) :P

We three musketeers headed off to the Curve. My original intention there was NOT to get lunch but rather to buy a new soccer ball. Hehe... guys guys, they care MORe about having fun than to filll themselves up. That's why I'm me, the bamboo guy. FIrst stop .. Al-Ikhsan ! We were looking high and low for a good quality ball with 'small low digits' price tag attached to it. So there came one which cost ONLY RM29! A Nike BAll! GRAB IT QUICK! .. that's that, got my ball and hurried off to lunch. (at 15.30, more like tea time)

KFC. I decided on that without a slight hesitation thanks to MY personal trainer in Penang. No more fickle old-lunny.. :P Since we've confirmed on ping-pong after that, I decided to eat much more than I could. The new 'Colonel Rice Meal' with its all time famous quote "Never eat rice ah". Proud to be a 'Fan thong' .. rice pot. ^^Ping pong after that at Tropicana! woohooo~ I suck! Oh well .. I played OK today. The ball barely lasted 10 seconds on the table though =/

That night .. I had basketball. Quite a number of us (BBall Buds) showed up. I thought it would be a great night for ball as the weather was cool until .. it happened ! I jumped up to get a rebound, came down .. and LANDED on my friend's foot. OUch* The pain was excruciating but lasted only for awhile. My right ankle began to swell up a little bit. Can you believe it? I drove home after that .. with my left foot ever ready set to step on the break pad in case my right foot could not switch in time. Lucky me .. home sweet home in a couple of minutes but that was not all.

Upon entering my house, my dad asked "Why do I look so down?" so I told him what had happened. He, my father, started looking at me with a not-so-nice-looking face. I went upstairs in search for mum but she was too busy in the bathroom. By the time mum came out and saw me lying on the floor, the swell was the size of a golf ball. She started throwing words of wisdom at me. Mum did not like the idea of me going out for so many activities in a single day. As usual, I promised her not to do so anymore .. hehehe. ;) winks*

Ice pack on. Bathe. Massage with ointment followed up.

I'll stop now. Brain's too compact to go on further. My idea of a blog being a place for daily short posts is not getting to me. This whole story is already longer than what I have written altogether for this semester break. Dull~ that's life. Leg hurts.. Nike ball? Chuck it aside. I even had to consume panadols to rid the pain. I cannot believe my day, another bruise in less than a year! No more sports, NO more lengthy essays in my blog. *Woah~ it rhymes*

Current mood: In pain .. depressant needed.
