Age is just a number. To hit 20 seems like the start of a brand new life. The start of the ageing process? :O LOL! Now now, age wouldn't rip your youthful looks apart. Most people claim that this would be the stepping stone to adulthood already. It signals the end of teenage years and therefore the start of being ..old?

*Snorts*

Now that I'm 20, I feel fine. I would "not" mention the constant backache part. I think its due to my computer chair. Time to change! :D Come on people! Its still possible to count your age with all that's attached to you (fingers and toes) and honestly, nothing has changed at all. So why worry? Other than losing those great times being a teen which would soon be replaced by the 20-30s gap, you don't lose anything else.

Here's how I spent my last day being a teenager. My friends and I had already planned on a "Food Marathon" weeks back and what better day to do this other than today (Friday) where everyone is free! The idea started when Jit told me about this "Foodbook" (on it, there are thousands of food recommendations and fancy places to dine in) weeks back. He said he's been drooling all over the book just by looking at fine pictures of food. I only got hold of this book on the day itself but failed to get a picture of it. I do however remember a thing or two about it not to worry. Behind it there's an MPH price tag with numbers RM15.90. :p

I was late. Got caught up in a jar of jam.

Take a look at the rear-view mirror. Stupid traffic lights.

Took me at least 30 minutes to get across the Bandar Utama Bridge.

First stop, Tony Roma's at Cineleisure, Damansara.

The people. From left: Shiau, Ian, Weng and Jit.

The food. Fried mushrooms.

There was a starter before the food came. Slices of French baguette with garlic paste. We ordered some pieces of Chicken too. Jit being stubborn took the bill of course.

Portion was big. Our stomachs were filling up too quickly. I'm no big eater just so you know...

Next stop, SakaeSushi. It drizzled as we walk there making the weather not so extreme. Cool day. Jit, Weng and Ian got to the place first as Shiau and I had some business to do. By saying business, I mean to wait for Soon Lee. It was his lunch break then. This guy was wearing a Polo with the word "BlueTooth Transmitter" imprinted. It was the big Sony BlueTooth day he told us. Oohh and female workers at Sony wear "BlueTooth Receiver". Dry humour I know. By the time we got back, food was served. On the table, there were two plates of soft shell crabs and some fried Salmon. I asked Jit why he ordered those. My primary intention was to ask why he ordered those dishes as I think they would be really expensive. He, on the other hand said "OMG! Sorry I forgot you don't take seafood". I don't actually but its "Food Marathon" anyways, we're supposed to try every dish that appears on the table. And so I did.

The "OMG" look.

Soft-shell crabs.

Salmon/rice and Tofu.

Green Tea.

Food so good Weng couldn't resist it all.

Jit jit.. He took the bill AGAIN! He wouldn't want to accept any of us paying for the bill. He's a great friend but this is way overboard. He can't go paying all by himself. Lucky for us we collected cash and slid the amount he paid into ...well somewhere... (in case he reads this) till now he still doesn't know about it.

That was, unfortunately, our last stop for the day. Being bloated, we couldn't take in anymore. So that ends the so-called "Food Marathon". We parted with genius Weng and Ian because they had some stuff to do and met up with Ying Choy at Blitzone. We 'gamed' till almost dinner time and left feeling dizzy. Home cook meal for dinner.

***

That night was like any other Friday nights. Ball gathering with the exception of a surprise early cake. Before that, there were two freak injuries. Irsyad and Andy both landed on some wrong footing and twisted their ankles. :O I know the pain.. Irsyad stood fine awhile later while its game over for the other guy as he had to limp out of the court. Poor guy. Heal fast! For Shiau, it was the launch of his Brand New remote control helicopter. It costs him a BOMB. It was a cool sight to see it hover but didn't last long due to power shortage. Superb really his chopper! The ball-ing atmosphere wasn't there anymore when they brought the cake out. I really wanted to play ball so badly (Only once a week nowadays) so the only thing I could do was to get it done Quickly. :D

The Chocolate-Banana cake.

The Gang. The chopper beside the cake.

Feeding frenzy.

No.15 Vince Carter enjoying himself.

The smudge. The cake? Down our bellies.

What a night?! We downed a cake and resumed the ball-game as fresh as we just started.

Now to me, those were really really REALLY Great moments. It would definitely go deep into my memory and remain intact for life. Trust me on this one. I thank you for the outstanding day and night and for that quality time we spent together, buds. The best thing that will happen to me, or to you, is to see your friends (Family too!) around you with genuine smiles on their faces. As long as I know they're happy, I would be too. What's more, to know that the bond between friendships is unbreakable. Great day guys, thanks for the whole bunch. :D

And now..

*Drum rolls*

Arsenal Away kit.

And I have GOT it!

Yes yes yes!

According to Erny, we, the BUC Captainball Team of 2007, had no rankings in the overall league... We did however come in 3rd in the post-season match-up. This, Erny said, was pretty much unexpected. Still.. We won! :D Hahaa.. Joined the team for the last two weeks only as a reserve member thanks to Erny's persuasion.

The unexpected win will go into "My Personal Diary" as a success in a sport I certainly have never excelled in. How funny it was, JIT, claimed (by himself) to know nuts about the game, browsed Wikipedia in search for the rules of the game. No luck there, he wanted and almost did manage to pull out. But with much silky smooth talks, I got him back in the team. OH... Ying Choy played too in the first week but had a tuition class to attend to the week after. Ying Choy is not in any of the pictures below but he did give all his guts to help the team to glory.

The game to me was like that: Came in, played, tired, got sub out.. Lasted 20 (I think) minutes only for each game; but its a stop-clock game. This means that if the ball goes out, the officials will stop the clock and restart it once the ball is inbound. SO.. yep there's plenty for everyone to do something. The final game was a real drama. It was to decide 3rd or 4th placing. We were leading all the way till half-time. They caught up and widen the gap. Also, the cheers from their subs GREW louder (Toning my voice down and the crowds; the crowds were behind us but.. ) as that made us felt a little demoralizing. We kept our spirits high though and soon enough we manage to chase till a one point deficit; advantage the opponent. It was down to the final 10 seconds where Jia Yein threw the buzzer-beater, THE game-winning shot which brought us the third place crown. Cheers to the team! Everyone, maybe not me, shares a part of this success and of course, an outstanding display in defence by Erny.

The Team in Red. Gunners and MU working together?

We kick ass!

Pride and Joy.

Hah funny..

It was Muanah's Birthday (maid) on the 10th of January. No birthdays go without a cake. Here's hers.

With only ONE candle. I sincerely don't know how old she is. Late 30's maybe.

Just showered. Pardon the messy wet look; Jit and Shiau were waiting outside for quite some time already. Had to rush. Screw my punctuality these days.

Another New Year's resolution goes right onto my whiteboard: Work on my Punctuality.

She's been with us for at least 10 years, ever since I was standard One or before. Of course she goes back and is replaced by another NEW maid then she comes back when the NEW maid's gone. I dare say she saw almost "everything" of mine. :P To hell.. but the thing is, it's been long. It's like Family. Happy Birthday Muanah!

OLD TOWN KOPITIAM!

Yeah basically, I see these people for most of my days (like everyday?). Since I got back and intro this special brown toast to Jit, Old Town Kopitiam has been our favourite hang-out spot for tea. We're fanatics!

From left: Ying Choy, Ying Soon, Jit, Shiau and I :O

Can't count the number of times we have been there together. The word "Many" says it all. True even I myself have gotten familiar with the menu. Remember (Jangan lupa) to order No.302 on the Menu, Kaya Butter Toasts (Double). Hola~ this is a "MUST TRY". Do eat them immediately after served while the butter slice is still cold. Oooooh.. so tantalizing and mouth watering.

but... Eeeeks! (I don't really stand up for my own words)

... too much of it, especially the super "gao" butter and kaya makes the whole thing jelak. *Pukes* I have cut down on it recently, going from Double to Single. :D

* * *

The middle guy: Yew Choe
(Us being laki tegak)

The moment came to say goodbye to Choe. He's heading off to Australia so soon, for good this time. He held a farewell for himself, and we just attended. Got there 3 hours late (Damn my punctuality) but it was alright because he told us to come ANYTIME between 12-6pm. We weren't sure enough what time was he really F.R.E.E. therefore going at 3 is best, neither too late nor too early. True enough we didn't miss anything except for the Girls and D'eric. Upon our arrival, the girls and D were all ready set to depart. Shrugs*

We started off by playing Chor Dai Dee (Warm-up), then to Cheat with the same poker deck as more people poured in. We eventually got tired of card games and look to board ones instead. What disappointment, Choe's games were already half way to Australia being shipped there. Jit on the other hand wanted to play Dota so much he tried whatever way he can to persuade Choe's younger sister to help him log in with HER account. Wasn't successful.

In the end, we did carry on with board games. Rented it from Brian. His house was right around the corner behind Choe's. A trip there and back with Ying Choy's car. It was "The Game of Life" we got. I was like "OH BOY, this is going to LAME". It turned out great! -Why bother with the game as long as you have your buds around you.- Jit eventually won thanks his campaign of "Help the Not-so-Fortunate" and doner Ying Choy, constantly giving him money. Ying Choy ... being so generous, lost. Yep, L.O.S.T. (last place). A lesson to be taught: The good don't always wins. Choe's brother got home right after and his first few words to us (to his sister) were "Why, sausage fest ah?" -.-

We had a great time at your place Mr. Chan. Have a pleasant trip there and ALL THE BEST for year 2008! Sobs* ...will miss this guy loads, not to mention.. his Speedos.

Colbie Caillat - Bubbly

Will you count me in?

I've been awake for a while now
You got me feeling like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tinglies in a silly place

It starts in my toes
And I crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

The rain is falling on my window pane
But we are hiding in a safer place
Under covers staying dry and warm
You give me feelings that I adore

It starts in my toes
Make me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

What am I going to say
When you make me feel this way
I just mmmmm

And it starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

I've been asleep for a while now
You tuck me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth

And it starts in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feeling shows
'cause you make me smile baby
Just take your time now
Holdin' me tight

Wherever wherever wherever you go
Wherever wherever wherever you go

wherever you go
I always know
'Cause you make me smile
Even just for a while

That night I cried..
Knowing that life is not always fair.
Who said life was fair in the first place?
The thing you hope for and the thing you get are two entirely different things.

It's like "Practice makes Perfect!"

But we know, nobody's perfect in this world;

... so why practice?

Happy New Year ! A photo compilation.

I'm envious of those who keep their blogs running. These people are book writers, magazine publishers and they're in the course of recording history for the years to come. Sejarah! :P

Its the EnD of a joyous 2007.. and what better time to begin the year with;

The sillyface. A true friend. Laughed alot, finds humor in any situation. Great company. She has been by my side and I'll see to that for the years to come. Hee! She has left for summer school in NZ. I'm missing her already. =)

"It's the New Year. Lets avoid conflicts. I'm sorry to everyone especially my girl."

Same pose, same day..
..different time. My roommate Craig a Scot.

A week later..
All packed and ready to go!

My flight took 10 hours to fly from Auckland back to KL. Boredom was never felt throughout. There were great up-to-date shows like Transformers, latest tracks on air and sitting to my right was another Malaysian, a senior, whom I talked to throughout the end of my flight. He, a PR there, visits Malaysia once every year to see his mum.

Touching down KLIA felt like a balloon inflated with air being PoP. Emotions doesn't just flow slowly out, it gushed all within a second or two. Mix feelings of everything ran through every nerves of mine. The thought of being HOME is just wonderful. Ohh.. then there's a surprise :O, my mum couldn't recognize me when I pushed the trolley out to the arriving hall that night with slightly longer than normal hair. It was such a joke. Dad too; only till he spotted the luggages i was carrying did he recognized me. In around the first week, I was plagued with food poisoning. Had my braces tightened too, so couldn't eat a damn thing. Life's a struggle.

I witnessed Roger Federer going head on with Pete Sampras in Clash of Times held at Stadium Melawati, Shah Alam; courtesy goes to Xiao Wen's mum. Fedex was just superb as the ace of modern tennis world. For a long retired guy like Pete, he proved his talent back then have not YET tarnished. To say that he wasn't too far behind Federer is a false statement. He did matched Federer at-his-best. Though eventually he would finally concede to fatigue as Federer got his final ace, there was not a moment of disappointment throughout the game. The spilling thrills of both players exchanging shots lasted an hour and a half.

Pistol Pete, Agong, FedeX with Najib at the back.

This was how close I got to him. *Yeeps*

Aunts and Uncles (My sponsors).

Friends that we met there. Yep I was hyper.

Trip to Penang. One week, two weddings, three sisters and a whole lot of food!

Wen sisters and I :O

Richard Clayederman up in Genting Highlands.

Digi man but there weren't any coverage for Digi.

The French man himself who speaks like a lady.

Oh yes, glamorous Starbucks everywhere. I mean it.

Family.

Christmas this year was quiet. Family bonding. :) They're most important. The lessons they taught are still with me.

That sums up my year of 2007. I came to realize that as the echoes of voices and memories dim over time, they would completely be replaced by the excited and happy sounds of people counting down to welcome the New Year. This is the circle of life. A step forward to take.

Oh yeah .. my first experience of getting drunk happened on New Year's day itself! It sucks. I nearly lost myself. Couldn't drive. Friend had to send me back with my own car. Dizzy the next morning. I made my first resolution for 2008 on that very day which is "Never to get drunk again". Ahaa.. Cheers~

So Happy New Year and let this year 2008 be a great one!

Promise to stay sober. Hicks*
