This illustration of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World I crop from the net really enchants me. The artist does rewind us to the past showing a great deal of the then magnificent structures during their high and almighty times. It is to say how great they actually were when built without any modern construction tools. The builders, slaves and exploited workers. Those were the days where philosophy did not exist. They build to please their Lords (being linked to Gods) when directed so, otherwise they would be exiled. The only Ancient Wonders that is still standing is The Great Pyramid of Giza. The others were all destroyed either by the force of nature or through barbaric inhumane act.

We know that Modern Wonders have been voted and established on the 7th of July 2007 ("Hey that's the date I flew over here"). Even so, these Ancient Wonders should never be forgotten. I'm proud to say they would live on in the hearts of many, and mine. :)

From left to right, top to bottom: The Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Temple of Artemis at Epheseus, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Mausoleum of Maussollos, Collossus of Rhodes and The Lighthouse of Alexandria. Pardon me for any misspellings.

It would be great to be "able" to visit those Ancient Wonders. Sadly, the one we could now is only The Great Pyramid of Giza. I envy those that have been there. It would be great to visit the ruins as well :)
