Old Science Building

Today is the Grand Opening of the SciSpace. In case you can't figure out what a SciSpace is, its NOT just any ordinary place for Science students to rest and relax, its the FIRST AND ONLY Space the Science faculty has on its block. Like finally! Its quite an open area. On the other side (Still part of this space) is where Maths and Stats Help "space" is. The two are separated by an office block.

The opening of this space marks the beginning of a new chapter... the dawn of a new age! Yes seriously, the Science building is really old. To top it up, its painted dirt brown which makes the building look ancient.. a historical sight. Compare this with the Engineering building, the Science space looks cheap and lazily designed. The interior, we still use hand-push doors to get from one place to another while the Engineering building has the auto-glass doors which open up when the sensor detects you. Also we have no such 24/7 computer labs that of the Engineering building. That's unfair; no wonder most engineers get their design projects done on time. Our lecture theatres (some of them) still uses chalk and dusters like old school to teach. Coughs* Compare the old Science building with the newly built Fisher and Pakyll building for Business students. OhMY! :O Our building would probably gain a couple of points on the historical site rankings. I doubt!

SO this is how people conclude things:

Science < Engineering < Business!

But recently, they have started interior renovation on almost all sections. That's a good sign. They have also replaced the comps in the labs with all new MAC pcs but it still closes at 8 though. In time to come, from what I've heard, they are going to remodel the whole building for a complete new look, or even better.

Yes! Now we are starting to be off equal standards. Just wait you business/engineering peeps! We are slow, but we are the first and we are steady. We're not only into miniscule microscopic science research projects thus not getting all trendy ourselves, cause we will be.. eventually!

Science = Engineering = Business

So once again, I remind you that the opening of this SciSpacre marks the beginning of something from Science.

Free food and drinks! Yes.. I'm high on sugar after that much consumption. Oh! There's this one specific chocolate coated honey comb cookie which got me jumping around looking for more! I'm no cookie fan but THAT was irresistible. I'm yet to know the brand; I'd fill my cookie box up with that for the next couple of weeks.
