The European Champions have been crowned in Moscow. It is the red-half of Manchester that is celebrating. Glory glory Manchester United!
Give them credit for beating Chelsea; by what... through Penalties on the soaking wet pitch with top talents like Ronaldo, John Terry and Nicholas Anelka missing their shots.

Earlier in the match, we saw Drogba got sent off. Manchester United couldn't take advantage of the 10 man team so the game went into shootouts instead after extra time with the score tied at 1-1.

Ronaldo wasn't confident at all in taking that spot kick which he missed. He hesitated before striking the ball towards the left where Cech was already heading that way. Saved! Nani had his fair bit of luck.. his ball was sent to where Cech had dived. The ball brushed pass Cech's glove to the back of the net. Anderson hit a straight "In-your-face" one next. It all came down to the Captain John Terry for the "thought-to-be" closure. The over-confident Terry thought he will win it all for Chelsea (taking the centerstage for the WIN). That's when he slipped (slightly) upon kicking sending the ball to the right post bouncing off it. Awww.. :(

Old-timer Giggs was confident enough to make his. Yes.. and winter acquisition Nicholas Anelka's final shot was saved by the keeper. Van der Sar was of hero of the new Champions!

Rumour has it that being a Muslim, Anelka purposely strike the ball right where Van der Sar was diving towards; not wanting to win it for the Jew a.k.a Avram Grant (Sorry folks if this gets too offensive).

Anyways.. Congratulations to Manchester United the 2008 Champions of Europe.

Red Devils.
